Our tiger strand woven floor is grrreat for people interested in an eye-catching flooring option. It's made from strands of natural (lighter) and carbonized (darker) bamboo woven together into a super-strong wide plank. Because of this manufacturing process, every board is unique.

More than twice as hard as oak and extremely stable, our strand woven flooring is made by heating long strips of bamboo, which are pulled apart into strands, woven together, then compressed them under extreme pressure and heat. This process gives our strand woven flooring a handsome, hardwood look. As a tongue-and-groove flooring, it can be installed using either a nail-down or glue-down method.

One story about our strand woven bamboo flooring. The floor was put in our foyer, dining room and kitchen. One evening as I was putting dishes into a full dishwasher, our big lab came over and put her head in the dishwasher. Her collar got caught in the wires of the basket and she paniced, pulling the entire bottom basket of the dishwasher out and across my brand new floor. Four dishes in the dishwasher were broken but there was not a dent or a scratch on my new floor. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the floor.
